The department manages and operates 66 surface parking lots, 12 garages, and 19 residential parking permit zones citywide. The city has implemented enhanced parking technology such as: pay by license plate, multi-space pay stations for on-street and surface parking lots, pay-on-foot stations at garages, a bike sharing program with Citi Bike, and electric vehicle charging stations at some of its garages.

Permits are sold by the customer service division of the Finance Department located on the 1st floor of 1755 Meridian Avenue.
