MBERP - Miami Beach Employees' Retirement Plan

Welcome to the official website of the Miami Beach Employees' Retirement Plan (MBERP). The earliest origin of a retirement program for the City of Miami Beach was the Retirement System for General Employees created under and by the authority of Chapter 18691, Laws of Florida, Acts in 1937. The Retirement System for Unclassified Employees and Elected Officials was created in 1988. In March 2006 the Retirement System for General Employees and the Retirement System for Unclassified Employees and Elected Officials merged to form the Miami Beach Employees' Retirement Plan (Ord. 2006-3530).

Mission
To Properly Manage and Administer the Investments of the MBERP assets for the benefit of the members and beneficiaries of the Plan.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY OFFICE RELOCATION

Effective August 4, 2025, the Miami Beach Employees’ Retirement Plan (MBERP) office will be temporarily relocating to 1920 Meridian Avenue, Second Floor, Miami Beach, FL 33139.  The new office location is within close proximity, walking distance, to the City Hall complex.  The new temporary space is located within the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce building, located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Meridian Avenue and Dade Boulevard.  There is free, dedicated parking for MBERP visitors on the ground floor of the building.  The City Hall parking garage can also be used for overflow parking, as needed.

MBERP’s main telephone number, email address and web address remain unchanged, as listed above.  The Plan’s mailing address will remain 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139.  Additional information regarding MBERP’s return to the City Hall office location will be updated on the Plan’s website, www.mberp.com.
