Stop the Hate. Don’t be a Victim

The LGBTQIA+ community is acutely vulnerable to unprovoked acts of violence. As a result, the department launched the Miami Beach Police Department's Hate Crime Prevention and Resource Awareness Campaign. The objective is to proactively address the increasing trend of hate crimes, particularly those targeting the LGBTQIA+ community, through a comprehensive strategy. The ultimate aim is to improve public safety and enhance the quality of life for everyone living, working and visiting the City of Miami Beach.

The campaign consists of multiple initiatives designed to foster concrete ways to prevent bias-based harassment and abuse. Initiatives include educational programming, community collaboration and prevention efforts. Stop the Hate. Don't be a Victim.
