Miami Beach Beachwalk
Discover Miami Beach's scenic Beachwalk - a nine-mile oceanfront pedestrian promenade perfect for joggers, cyclists, and leisurely strolls. Originally a wooden boardwalk from 23 to 45 streets, the Beachwalk, as it is known today, was completed in June 2022 as a wider, ADA-accessible paver pathway that seamlessly connects Miami Beach to Surfside and Bal Harbor.
The Beachwalk is part of the Atlantic Greenway Network โ a pedestrian, non-motorized transportation thoroughfare along the Eastern Seaboard from Maine to Key West.

Bark Park
The dog park features two double-gated dog runs for small or large dogs, which allow owners to unleash their pets in a holding area before releasing them into the play areas.
Kayak Launch:
Entry: Kayak entry is into Indian Creek
The kayak launch area is provided for users to launch their own kayaks into Indian Creek. Kayaks must be bought into the launch area by foot or mobile cart. No parking or drive up launching on site. Usage of the launch area is free. Rental equipment is not provided.Special Features: Leisure areas, asphalt walking path, kayak launch, small and large dog areas with dog play features and a community garden.

The Imagination Playground is a temporary popup park installation that allows for mobile and innovative play in non-traditional spaces such as parking lots, vacant lots and roof tops. Using Imagination Playground blocks, children have endless opportunities to create a world of their own. Since 2019 the Parks and Recreation Department has featured this temporary playground in several locations throughout the city and at various events.

Scott Rakow Youth Center Pool will be closed on Sunday, March 23rd for repairs
The Scott Rakow Youth Center was built in 1976 to serve the teens of Miami Beach. It has now grown to serve children and adults of all ages with a variety of recreational activities. The Youth Center is a multi-faceted facility that houses an ice skating rink, outdoor swimming pool, six bowling lanes, gymnasium, arts and crafts center, game room, media room, fitness center, multi-purpose room, music room, and computer lab. We also offer a variety of classes for children of all ages, adults, and seniors that include: swimming, ice skating, hockey, and sports leagues.

On September 9, 2011, after nine months of construction, the City of Miami Beach Capital Improvement Projects and Parks & Recreation Departments was thrilled to announce the opening of the Miami Beach Band Shell. The main scope of the work completed to this beautiful outdoor amphitheater, included a historic restoration of the facility with structural repairs, ADA improvements to backstage area and restrooms, expansion of backstage facilities, installation of special acoustical plaster for enhanced outdoor acoustics, new HVAC system, electrical system upgrades, theatrical lighting, stage extension, accent lighting of main architectural features and more.
