Programs
The after school and summer camp programs offered at the North Shore Park & Youth Center for children in grades K – 5 fill up quickly. Children and teens can participate in a wide variety of activities such as sports, homework help, special events and much more. North Shore Park & Youth Center is proud to offer programs for the young and young at heart. Adults and seniors are invited to participate in a variety of programs that include: zumba, yoga, fine arts and painting and more.

The Scott Rakow Youth Center was built in 1976 to serve the teens of Miami Beach. It has now grown to serve children and adults of all ages with a variety of recreational activities. The Youth Center is a multi-faceted facility that houses an ice skating rink, outdoor swimming pool, six bowling lanes, gymnasium, arts and crafts center, game room, media room, fitness center, multi-purpose room, music room, and computer lab. We also offer a variety of classes for children of all ages, adults, and seniors that include: swimming, ice skating, hockey, and sports leagues.

Muss Park attained a LEED silver-certification in 2020. The communal complex features an afterschool program office, kitchen, storage space, indoor restrooms, and drinking fountains. The enclosed pavilion operates as both an open-air and air-conditioned space. Circling the large playing field, the concrete walkways lead to ADA accessible playgrounds that are separated by age. The sites landscaping and open areas add to the park’s functionality and aesthetic.

Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and Ocean Drive, between 5 Street and 14 Place, Lummus Park has been the backdrop for many television and film scenes. The beachfront park features a playground, public restrooms, paved paths for walking or biking and 9 Street Muscle Beach, South Beach. The park also serves as a host to various special events every year, ranging from concerts to marathons and is one of the most popular destinations in Miami Beach.

The distinctive, 516-space Collins Park Garage with its whimsical crossword puzzle facade, received the 2022 award of excellence by the Florida Parking & Transportation Association Board of Directors. Unique in that it artfully combines elements of both style and function, the structure includes a mix of commercial retail space on the ground level, bicycle parking and electric vehicle charging stations.

Enjoy a free technical boxing class fitness class. Basic punches and boxing movements will be taught that correspond with certain workout stations. Several workout/exercise stations will be set up for students/clients to rotate to. Located on the 6th/7th floor ramp.
