Gymage: The Future of Social Fitness
Are you tired of people judging you for taking selfies during your workout at the gym? Well, selfie lovers can rejoice — Gymage Lifestyle Resort Miami is the perfect place for you.
Based in Madrid, Gymage is a play on gym and image. The company has opened a new location here in Miami Beach at 355 Lincoln Rd. in the iconic Bhojwani Tower. Billing itself as “Miami’s newest Instagrammable gym,” Gymage is equipped with bright lighting, state-of-the-art equipment and mounted selfie sticks at every station, paving the way for the future of social fitness. Madrid entrepreneur Carlos Enguidanos, CEO of Gymage, dreamt of this concept while in school in Spain. “We are heaven for fitness lovers,” according to Enguidanos. “First and foremost, we focus on the workout experience and its social aspect, so the gym is ready-made for members to take pictures and share their progress.”
Gymage, Miami Beach’s newest futuristic lifestyle resort
Located in the heart of South Beach, the 10,000-square foot-gym combines a tropical atmosphere with premium workout equipment. Want to catch up on a show while working out? Gymage has you covered. Furnished with the latest LifeFitness Premium series equipment, members can watch YouTube videos, Netflix and even listen to Spotify while running or jogging on one of several cardio machines. Enguidanos plans to add to his dream gym in 2022 when he expects to open a rooftop restaurant and lounge where patrons can fuel up after burning calories in the gym.
“We are inspired by the social aspect of fitness. That’s why our vision is to be a lifestyle resort, in which you can come and work on your health, but also in the future, come to have dinner and drinks with friends,” he said. “We are inspired by the uniqueness and diversity in everyone. We want our members to feel proud to show themselves and to let their image do the talking. Speak your image: it’s more than a slogan, it’s a mindset.”
Manuel Clavel, the mastermind behind the luxury architecture of Museum Garage in Miami's Design District and projects for Louis Vuitton, designed the space.
With the support of the Miami-Dade Beacon Council, the City of Miami Beach was able to recruit Gymage to our wonderful city. Gymage was recognized by the Beacon Council at the 2021 Annual Key Ceremony where Mayor Daniella Levine Cava presented Gymage with a key to the county.
Located at the intersection of two major commercial districts, Gymage is highly accessible and is buoyed by the exciting initiatives of the Washington Avenue and Lincoln Road Business Improvement Districts.
