NORMANDY ISLE TRAFFIC CALMING PROJECT
The Normandy Isle Neighborhood was selected from various neighborhoods to be included in the Traffic Calming G.O. Bond program due to its geographic conditions, street characteristics, and multi-modal needs. The project was approved by G.O. Bond Advisory Committee, City Commission, and subsequently by the voters in 2018. The project includes four (4) traffic circles, five (5) Raised crosswalks, nine (9) speed tables, and two (2) narrowed lanes. These proposed measures are deemed the most effective in regulating intersection traffic, increase safety, and reduce speeding. The proposed traffic calming devices will not impact driveways or drainage nor affect green areas.
