Miami Beach Introduces Current Conditions Website
(Miami Beach, FL) Jul 21, 2022 -
The City of Miami Beach wants to make it easier for millions of visitors and residents who flock to the iconic beachfront every year to know current conditions before they leave home — even if home is in another state or country.
“We’re excited to make our beach conditions more readily available to the public,” explained Miami Beach City Manager Alina T. Hudak. “We realize that some areas may be prone to less idyllic weather conditions, and we apologize in advance for our year-round beautiful weather.”
The Miami Beach Ocean Rescue Safety & Weather Condition Report site is updated daily, including weekends and holidays.
Available information includes the current beach warning flags being flown outside lifeguard towers on Miami Beach along with what they mean, low- and high-tide information, ocean water temperature, wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, lifeguard duty hours, sunrise and sunset times as well as surf conditions and any beach advisements.
In addition, the site incorporates two livestream beach feeds courtesy of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. Livestreams are currently available from 1 Street and 21 Street in the South Beach neighborhood of Miami Beach.
