FILM SYNOPSIS: Set in Miami Beach, The Birdcage follows a gay cabaret owner (Robin Williams) and his drag queen companion (Nathan Lane) who agree to put up a false straight front so that their son can introduce them to his fiancée’s right-wing, conservative parents. Directed by Mike Nichols. This film is rated R. The Tribeca Festival returns to Art Basel Miami Beach at the Miami Beach Bandshell for four nights of music-forward programming, including live performances, special screenings, our signature talks, and more. This marks the third year of the Tribeca Festival partnering with Art Basel Miami Beach to bring live music to the annual art fair.
