The Children’s Voice Chorus is collaborating with the world-renowned Uniting Voices Chicago (Formerly Chicago Children’s Choir) in a celebration of youth voices with 200 singers from Miami and Chicago. The program will include a premiere of original works written by Miami youth and local Miami artists. This high-octane “tale of two cities” performance celebrates diversity and the shared belief in the uniting power of music. With a vibrant 65-year history that includes White House performances, international tours, and collaborations with artists ranging from Chance the Rapper to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Uniting Voices Chicago brings their star power to Miami Beach. Founded at the height of the Civil Rights Movement, Uniting Voices Chicago inspires and unites youth from diverse backgrounds to become global leaders through music. Since its founding, UVC has grown from a single choir into a vast network of school and after-school programs that serve thousands of students every year. The Children’s Voice is a Miami-based youth chorus with a mission to empower diverse young people in Miami with artistic and life skills through experiences in vocal music. CVC members have performed at the Super Bowl and have worked with artists like Enrique Iglesias to Julian Marley. Dedicated to making choral programs accessible to youth of all backgrounds and abilities, CVC reaches over 200 students throughout Miami.
