Praised for her “ear- and eye-filling keyboard wizardry,” pianist Elizabeth Joy Roe makes her NWS debut in this delightful afternoon of chamber music (The Waco Tribune). She will join NWS Fellows for charming works from the Baroque and Classical periods: Johann Hummel’s Military Septet and J.S. Bach’s Concerto for Two Keyboards. The afternoon begins with fanfares in George Walker’s Music for Brass that blends revered chorales with lively dances. Frank Bridge embraced both German Romanticism and French Impressionism when writing his String Sextet.
