Join Moonlighter FabLab for their Summer Camp Series 2024! With A new theme each week – your young maker will be presented with a set of project that will challenge them to think critically, curiously, and creatively. Ideal for Children Ages 7-12, Build With Real Tools + Materials, Balance of Digital Skills and Hands-on Activities!
- June 10 – 14 – Sustainable Design: Campers will learn the 5-Step Design thinking method to create a product for a fictional client. They will experiment with reused, recycled, and Eco-friendly materials to create sustainable objects that solve real world challenges!
- June 24 – 28 – Little Architects: Campers will design and build the city of the future. They will learn how to draw in 3D, build models with a laser and 3D printers, and learn about the basics of circuitry to power their structures. Your little architects will learn the skills they need to make their ideas come to life!
- July 8 – 12 – Makers to Space: We embark on the final frontier – from establishing a moon base to rocketing across the solar system. Your young makers will design and build everything they need to explore the galaxy!
- July 15 – 19 – Science Meets Art: Learn how the masters blend art concepts and science experiments to create unique innovations and learn more about the way the world works! We’ll peer into the notebooks of innovators throughout history, try and replicate some of their ideas, and then imagine, design, and build some of our own!
- July 22 – 26 – Gizmos and Gadgets: Learning about electronic and mechanical systems that have revolutionized society. From simple machines to simple circuits – these are the inventions that have helped civilization transform the world. Campers will build their own gadgets to solve real problems and more!
- July 29 – August 2 – Game Makers: Exploring the origins of play. We’ll learn how different societies invented games throughout history and discover the fundamentals of game mechanics, rules, and game theory. Everyone loves games – but now your little one gets to design their own and share their games with other campers!
- August 5 – 9 – Movie Makers: Your little one will learn to make short films, from creating a script, to storyboarding, to prop-making, video editing and more!
