A performance artist takes up residency in a blue-chip contemporary Miami art gallery to stage a controversial performance art piece: He will live as a dog for a month, biting visitors and being trained and domesticated. But as the true nature of the piece and of his identity are called into question, he unexpectedly causes the upheaval of the gallery and the lives of those who work there, leading to coup d’états, deadly workplace betrayal, and the rise of the art gallery working class: the gallerinas.
