Ecological Restoration Volunteer Day

Join IRC for our 2nd event with the City of Miami Beach for an Ecological Restoration Volunteer Day in Miami Beach’s South Pointe Park! IRC and our volunteers will be working together to plant a variety of native plants on the beach dune along South Pointe Park. Please meet us at the end of the pier/boardwalk underneath the shade, where you will find our sign-in table. Groups of volunteers will be instructed on how to install native plants into the ground and learn about coastal ecosystems. We may also remove some nonnative plants as well.

There is no experience required! So grab a friend and come out to help us plant a diverse array of native species so we can enhance the essential biodiversity of South Pointe Park’s beach dune ecosystem. Whether this is your first volunteer event with us or you’re a repeat volunteer, we are so excited to have you join the IRC family and see how much fun habitat restoration can be!
