Ecological Restoration Volunteer Day

Join the Institute for Regional Conservation in this exciting project with Miami Beach on Saturday, June 15th from 9 am to 11 am at 7601 Atlantic Way. IRC and volunteers will work together to plant native plants on the beach dune along Pirate Park. Please meet in front of the bathrooms underneath the shade, where you will find our sign-in table. Groups of volunteers will be instructed on how to install native plants into the ground and learn about coastal ecosystems. We will also remove some non-native plants as well.
There is no experience required! So grab a friend and come out to help plant a diverse array of native species that repair the essential biodiversity of Pirate Park’s beach dune ecosystem.
Please be sure to RSVP if you want to sign up to participate in this event.
Please wear comfortable outdoor clothing, you will be in full sun. Wear a hat and sunscreen! Bring a reusable water bottle and anything else that makes you comfortable in the outdoors! We will provide the rest.
