Have you ever wanted to organize a cleanup, but weren’t sure where to start? This virtual/zoom workshop is for you!
Calling all change-makers, community organizers, neighborhood leaders, student leaders, and any good humans looking to make a difference!!
VolunteerCleanup.org has been organizing and leading cleanups for 10+ years and as county organizers for the annual International Coastal Cleanup Day in Miami-Dade have trained dozens of other groups to lead best-in-class cleanups that educate and inspire volunteers to be part of the solution.
In this 1-hour workshop you will learn:
- How to choose a great location
- How to obtain permission/approval for your cleanup
- Suggested list of supplies
- How to post your cleanup on VolunteerCleanup.org and how our website can help you recruit volunteers
- A suggested breakdown of activities for a 2-hour cleanup
- How to make your cleanup both productive, fun and educational
- How to collect citizen science data
