Ricardo Alarcon is a dedicated legal professional currently serving as a Municipal Prosecutor. In this role, he is responsible for the prosecution of criminal violations of the City's code of ordinances before the County Court in and for Miami-Dade County, Florida. Formerly an Assistant State Attorney for the State of Florida in Miami-Dade County, Mr. Alarcon prosecuted misdemeanor, DUI, and traffic cases.
While working full-time during the day and studying law in the evenings, Mr. Alarcon earned his law degree from Nova Southeastern University (J.D. 2023, Cum Laude). He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science in Public Safety Management from Miami Dade College (B.A.S. 2015). He has earned multiple certifications in code enforcement, government supervision, and anti-money laundering.
Prior to his career in law, Mr. Alarcon built a distinguished career in code compliance with the City of Doral, FL, rising from Code Compliance Officer to Supervisor (2013-2023). In this role, he supervised a code enforcement team, developed community outreach programs, and played a pivotal role in policy development. A former Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve, Mr. Alarcon earned numerous military accolades for leadership and service (2010-2014).
