Enjoy an oceanside concert featuring the retro world-jazz ensemble Dodo Orchestra, at the Sunday, February 25 installment of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series, a free, weekly concert series presented by the Ocean Drive Association. Pack a picnic blanket or lawn chair to stake out your seat on the lawn. Showtime is at 5:00 PM.
The young and talented musicians of the New York-based Dodo Orchestra draw inspiration from global beats and sounds, include those from the bygone era. Their repertoire includes musical gems from France, Germany, Italy and Russia as well as Brazilian music and tango. Included among the orchestra’s recent appearances are concerts at Joe’s Pub (NYC), Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall (NYC), Kennedy Center (DC), Atlas Arts Center (DC), Abrons Arts Center (NYC), Blue Note Jazz Festival (NYC), DROM (NYC), Fox Club (San Francisco) and Middle East (Boston).
