After graduating from the University of Miami, School of Law, Mr. Rothstein started his law career as an associate at Freshman, Freshman & Traitz (1987 - 1989), where he practiced civil litigation.

From 1989 - 1997, Mr. Rothstein was an associate at the Law Offices of Robert A. Romagna, P.A., where he continued to practice civil litigation.

Prior to his employment with the City Attorney’s office, Mr. Rothstein was an associate at Smith & Supraski, P.A. (1997 - 2006), where he practiced civil, lender, construction and commercial litigation, condominium law, landlord/tenant law, and real estate law.
