City Of Miami Beach Teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training – Day 1

The Teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is a nationally supported, locally implemented initiative that teachesteens how to better prepare themselves for hazards that may affect their community. Teens learn:
- Disaster Preparedness
- CERT Organization
- Disaster Medical Operations
- Disaster Psychology
- Fire Safety and Utility Controls
- Light Search and Rescue Operations
- Terrorism and CERT
The City of Miami Beach Division of Emergency Management offers the Teen training as a Hybrid course. Eight hours are completed online prior to signing up for the in-class portion. The in-class portion is 16-hours. Age requirements for this training is 14 to 17. If interested in attending, please email CERT@miamibeachfl.gov or call 305.673.7736 to receive instructions to complete the online portion of the training.
