Captain Michael George began his law enforcement career with the Miami-Dade Police Department in 1999 and joined the Miami Beach Police Department in 2002. Captain George has served in a variety of positions within the Department to include:

  • Criminal Investigations Division Violent Crime Detective
  • Internal Affairs Sergeant
  • Marine Patrol/Underwater Recovery Sergeant
  • Business/Personnel Resource Unit Lieutenant
  • Training Unit Lieutenant
  • Criminal Investigations Division Property Crimes Lieutenant

Captain George has received various commendations throughout his career and was also the recipient of the honorable service award.

Captain George has completed the Leadership in Police Organizations Course and holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Captain George also serves a trustee for the City of Miami Beach Policemen's Relief and Pension Fund.
