The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is a nationally supported, locally implemented initiative that teaches people how to better prepare themselves for hazards that may affect their community. Volunteers learn:
The City of Miami Beach Division of Emergency Management offers the training as a Hybrid course. Eight hours are completed online prior to signing up for the in-class portion. The in-class portion is 16-hours. If interested in attending, please email CERT@miamibeachfl.gov or call 305.673.7736 to receive instructions to complete the online portion of the training.
