The City of Miami Beach is considered to be located in one of the most highly vulnerable areas to the effects of both climate change and sea level rise.

Understanding this vulnerability has allowed for the development of both short-term and long-term adaptation strategies that would further strengthen the City’s resilience.

The goal of these actions is to leverage existing resources to develop a mutually-beneficial solution that helps combat sea level rise challenges in Miami Beach and other coastal municipalities.

The City is committed to engaging the public and other stakeholders through proper education of its ongoing plans and strategies to help accommodate to a changing environment. Through education and the methods above, Miami Beach will continue Rising Above.
