CHIEF'S OFFICE 

 

The Office of the Chief is the top organizational entity within the Police Department. The Office of the Chief is responsible for ensuring that the Police Department is proactively performing all of it's duties and responsibilities with the highest level of proficiency. In doing so, the Police Department remains strongly committed to the organization's and City's mission statements ensuring professionalism, accountability and transparency 24/7. Reporting directly to the Office of the Chief are the: 

• Media Relations  
• Internal Affairs Unit 
• Police Athletic League 
• Planning & Research Office 
• Financial Management Unit 

The President of the Fraternal Order of Police (police union), detached from regular duty under a labor agreement, reports to this office for organizational purposes.
