Greetings!
As Mayor of the City of Miami Beach, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our beautiful city, and most especially, to the vibrant CANDO arts district. Our tropical island community has so much to offer to visitors and residents, alike, and the CANDO district will appeal to anyone and everyone with a passion for the arts.
The CANDO district is nestled at the “north end” of South Beach between Dade Boulevard and 24th Street on the north, Lenox Avenue on the west, Lincoln Lane South on the south, and the Atlantic Ocean on the east. Within the district, visitors can find a number of first-rate arts institutions that operate year ‘round: the New World Symphony, Bass Museum, Miami City Ballet, Miami Beach Botanical Garden, Art Center South Florida, and various art galleries, to name just a few. The CANDO district also plays host to a number of annual arts shows such as world-renowned Art Basel and Art Miami, as well as theatre and film festivals.
Whether you’re a visitor or a resident, I hope that you enjoy your time here in the City of Miami Beach’s CANDO arts district. There is plenty to see, do, and explore and it’s our pleasure to be your host. Enjoy the arts!
Sincerely,

David Dermer
Mayor
